About

Determined to stick a creative wedge between waking up and diving into each workday, I started drawing over my morning coffee. Quirky beings with beaks for noses and limbs like hoses filled the pages of my small 5 x 8 inch notepad. I became fascinated by the ways the little friends would interact on the page; the ways they'd assemble.

Over time I realized narratives of intimacy, togetherness, joy and reciprocity emerging. I started to really learn the drawings' language and my stroke began to expand and loosen — the gestures started to feel like zwoops on the page. Hence, Zwoopies: larger than life feelings contained in full-bodied expression. I hope they help you greet the day differently. — Julia 🙋🏻‍♀️
